Bio

Tikhonova Irina is a professional artist from Russia with 20 years of experience. She began her creative path at art school, after which she continued her studies at an art highschool. At the end of it, at the age of 21, she moved from her small town on the banks of the Volga River to St. Petersburg, and there she entered the Theater Academy, where she graduated with honors as a costume designer. Then she traveled the world studying the culture and arts of Greece, Turkey, India, Central Asia, then Europe and Latin America. Several personal exhibitions of the artist took place in Russia and Chile.
Irina currently lives in Spain, where she conveys the warmth and color of the Mediterranean Sea through her paintings. She creates her works with different materials, but they are invariably united by expressiveness, inspired by the beauty of nature, she expresses it through her feelings and experiences. Bright colors and brushstroke texture emphasize the rhythm and dynamics of her paintings.
