I painted this picture in March 2022, at the moment when my country started the war with Ukraine. I am against wars, and I consider this one a crime against the people of my country and the people of Ukraine. Almost in every family there are marriages between our peoples, I myself went on a trip to this wonderful country 5 times with wonderful people, my friends are from Ukraine. And being far from the place of events, now I live in Spain, on an island in the Mediterranean Sea, I am acutely experiencing these tragic events.
There was a desire to depict a ship united by the flags of our countries, because we are united, we speak the same language, we grew up in the same culture. The painting is painted on cotton canvas with oil paints and varnished. She is completely ready to be hung on the wall, I paint over the end of the painting to match the picture, and therefore she does not need to frame it.
